This is a quick, easy & healthy recipe, perfect when you want a sweet treat but don't want to break out the full pantry. If you prefer your cookies on the sweeter side, we'd recommend adding a tbsp or two of honey or maple syrup to the banana mixture.
INGREDIENTS
2 very ripe bananas
1 c sesame seeds
Seed + Mill Chocolate Sesame Sauce
Flaky salt
STEPS
1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork until smooth. Mix in sesame seeds & a pinch of salt.
2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Roll banana mixture into tbsp-sized balls, place on the cookie sheet 1 inch apart, then gently press each with your thumb to create an indent.
3. Bake cookies for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Rotate tray half way through.
4. Allow the cookies to cool completely, then squeeze chocolate sesame sauce into the thumbprints. Sprinkle with flaky salt and enjoy!
If you prefer a firmer texture for the filling, refrigerate or freeze your cookies.
